Paul Bocuse comes from a long line of chefs, and continues to uphold the reputation of French cooking. He was elected "Mons Meilleur Ouvrier de France", the most prestigious title for any craftsman. In 1965 he received the highest recognition for one in his profession: he was awarded the third star in the Michelin guide and the supreme award - he was made Officer of the Legion d'Honneur.
